The development of institutional and organizational capacities of regional and national mechanisms for the promotion of gender equality is being implemented to effectively address persistent social inequalities and recurring peace and security issues in the West African region.

This program aims, among other things, to promote gender equality, uphold human rights, and encourage the active participation of women in the prevention and management of community conflicts.

Specifically, it seeks to support regional and national mechanisms to reduce and put an end to human rights violations within the ECOWAS region.
